God's Work, Our Hands 2018A Big Thank You to all who helped out on our 3rd Annual God's Work, Our Hands Sunday. 40 people attended the Feed My Starving Children food packing event in Grand Forks. We packed 34,128 meals which will feed 93 people for 1 year!! And we did that in less than 2 hours. To help pay for those meals, we set a goal of $2000 for our church. Between dime collection ($485.84), caramel rolls, and donations from the Men's and Women's groups, we ended up raising $2771.94.00!!!!! Thanks to all who donated.
Many Thanks to all who participated in the projects at the church that morning also. We packed 300 breakfast bags for the homeless, made 5 prayer shawls, numerous dog and cat toys for the humane society, socks for the elderly, appreication gifts for the fire and police departments, appreciation baskets for the nurses at Altru and made appreciation gifts for our Thompson School Staff. God's Work was truly in action at St. Matthew's! Thanks for all who participated! |
